How to Insert Images from Google Photos into Website

Last updated on July 19, 2020 By Tom Wallis

Google Photos is a completely free service for storing and sharing your digital photos and videos to the cloud storage. There is no restriction on the number of photos and videos you can upload as unlimited space is provided to every user who has a Google account. The only condition is that you can upload photos up to 16MP and videos up to 1080P. Google Photos is one of the most advanced photo cloud storage services that have the option to search photos by face or objects present in them. In spite of various advanced features, it lacks a very basic thing that makes the website owners avoid them for storing media files.

Google Photos let you share the photos and videos with anyone with the help of the URLs associated with every media item you have stored. But there is no way to embed the media files directly into your website. This is a basic feature that is available in almost all photo storage services. Instead of going for any other service, you should stick with Google Photos as the following guide will help you to embed images from Google photos into your website completely.

Steps To Embed Images into Your Website from Google Photo –

The lacking feature can be overcome easily with the help of a web application called Embed Google Photos developed by CTRLQ. The app eases the process of picking up any photo you have stored on Google Photos and placing them on a web page on your website with simple HTML code. The following is the list of detailed steps on how to do it –

Step 1. Login to your Google account and go to photos.google.com

Step 2. Select and Open any photo or video that you want to embed in your website.

Step 3. Tap on the Share icon on the top and then click on Get Link button to generate an URL to share.

Step 4. Copy the shareable URL and Go to Embed Google Photos link.

Step 5. Paste the copied URL in the text box present on the website that opens from the above link and click on Generate Code button.

Step 6. Once the HTML code is generated, all you have to do is code that code and paste that on your website wherever you want to embed the photo or video.

That is it. There is no need for using any paid storage service for photos and videos of your website.
